Misty Dreams

In the misty forests of my dreams

I see you like a doe peeking over the grass,

Deep eyes like the mirror

Catching the dark shadows of past

In a blink of an eye, I saw them turn

Into hope and wonder that resembles you

I just stood stunned and mesmerised

Then wake of the day and reality

Kicked out the beautiful delusion that you are 

Tear on the pillow was all the response I could muster

I wonder if you would be able to taste them on my cheeks
