They tell us about the people who fought And that we should be glad for what we got, The brave men who gave their lives, And that husbands were not better than wives

They told us about queens and kings, We are here today because of these things, These were the mound of our heritage and even though they are from that age

They have a connection with life today, "Don't make the mistakes we did ", they say, They didn't have cars so fast, All they were worried about is cast, This is the story of our past

Made of marble and stone, Workers carved everything alone, Preserved so well, Some of them were a place to dwell
