Musings at night
Musings at night
Musings at night
In the still of the night,
I sat on the banks of the placid river,
a comforting ledge,
had branched out
From a resident tree,
To rest my tired mind.
The moon,
hidden behind
The leaves,
Cast a mysterious silhouette on the scene,
Lending a quiet
That echoed into the night .
The ripples in the water
Sought to alter
My thoughts,
From very disturbing
To a soothing
Calm !
The peace that
enveloped me was contemplative in
Nature,
Surrounding me
In moonlight and silence,
Let things be,
Was the Masters
Assuaging .
Nothing mattered
Any more,
As the mind altered
To switched to
No mind mode.
No chatter did
Patter in petulance,
Only emptiness
Inside and outside!
What is this nothingness
That I am?
It just Is,
He said .
No more contemplations
Of these sensations,
Or experiences,
Only Be in the Oneness
That is !
