MUSINGS

Dear Dairy,

I sit beside the fire place as I write to you ,

My mind brimming with thoughts quite a few.

I have had my share of experience- some good , some bad,

Some made me feel elated others morose and sad!

This pensive day, I choose to reflect upon,

The summary of my life –its pros and cons!

All the places I have been, are perhaps captured in photos,

But I still failed to realise life’s main motto!

For the beauty of what is virtual, is not always the reality,

As I regret my mistake it drives me into insanity!

I keep thinking about what’s next,

And in the process miss out on present context!

You know I tend to overthink,

And the ‘NOW’ is over in a blink!

To live in the moment – ‘CARPE DIEM’ they say,

For yesterday and tomorrow, do not add up to today!

Dear Diary, you bear witness to my life’s every song,

Please tell me if my thinking is right or wrong.

Here and now are what matter the most,

For the future is but a vision, the past a mere ghost!

As the moon shines above bright and cresent,

I realise that ‘NOW’ is the greatest gift, The greatest Present!
