My Age
My Age
Someone asked me my age
I said “ let me calculate”
Then told him “I am twenty two”
He said “that’s strange coming from you”
I said that age was the number of
Moments you really live in life,
So I’ve eliminated the period
Which was full of utter strife
This is the number of the pearls
I have gathered and cherished,
Rest were like a heavy baggage
In life, they have vanished,
With permutations and combinations
I have solved the riddle of age
In the book of my whole life
I have marked every page
Hence, after all deductions
I have given the answer to you
The years I have really lived
Are not more than twenty two.
