My Dear Dimpy

I have a dog, her name is Dimpy,

She has two dimples and is very pretty.

Her euphoric eyes are just irresistible

And so are her wide grins and giggles.

When in the morning the alarm goes beep, beep, beep

She is already on my tummy when I am half asleep.

She is as sad as the cloudy sky when I leave in the morning

But when I return she greets me at the gate, jumping and howling.

Dimpy loves to play with that blue wool ball

She spends her time kicking the ball all around the hall.

Red meat is her favourite meal which she can never miss

Sleeping after meals is her idea of pure bliss.

In the evening we play for hours in the park,

Until the sun has set and the sky has become dark.

At night, I love to cuddle with her on my bed,

And go into a deep slumber with my forever faithful friend.
