My Family the Anchor of my life

It was ages back,

I heard somewhere,

Family backs you up,

When no one else does.

I never took it seriously,

All my life,

I took them for granted,

All my life.

Then suddenly When I was at the ebb,

With frustration eating me through

Through tears in my eyes,

I heard all of them say,

We are there for you.

It doesn't matter,

Whether you succeed in life for others,

For us you are already successful,

For us you will remain the best

As a daughter, a sister,

A wife and a mother

It was then I realized,

I gave them so little,

And got back tenfold,

In love and confidence.

For me, they are and will remain,

The best confidante,

And the Anchor of my Life
