MY LOVING WIFE

Twenty-one years back

She came to my house

My house became a home

She became my spouse.

New to each other, sometimes we quarreled

However most of the time it was fine

Sometimes she said sorry

Even when the fault was mine.

With time we came close

And it did not take so long

With the birth of our first baby

Our bond became very strong.

Now in the role of a mother

She was busy, always on her feet

At the birth of our second son

She still looked so sweet.

She had to give time to her job

So not always there

But always available when needed

For the motherly love and care.

To study in IIT Bombay

My elder son has gone

Now she is busy talking to him

Three times a day, on the phone.

I have become diabetic and hypertensive

With my growing age

Whenever I fall sick

Taking care of me, always.

My partner is there

Helping me in every part of my life

Love and trust are the things

That makes her my loving wife.
