My Prayer
My Prayer
The dawn turns brighter,
As I hear the whisper
Of my often-forgotten nurturer,
Who's ever-careful to make me prosper...
The blows that I receive,
Through the thoughts, I conceive
And swallow like a dove,
Are all wiped off with thy love.
Life is quite beautiful,
As long as you are merciful
Towards mankind
Dropping all our petty sins behind.
O the great wayfarer
And my dearest defender!
Let me not lose your chords
And keep me off from all worldly discords.
