My Sleepless Night
My Sleepless Night
The clock ticks on, the night grows long,
As I toss and turn, something's wrong,
Thoughts race through, my troubled mind,
A restless sleep, I cannot find.
The darkness looms, the shadows creep,
I close my eyes, but sleep won't keep,
The minutes drag, the hours crawl,
My mind is racing, down the hall.
The dawn approaches, as I lay,
Staring at the ceiling, as the night fades away,
My eyes are heavy, but my mind won't rest,
The worries haunting me, put my peace to the test.
The day goes on, without relief,
As I drag myself, through grief,
My body aches, my mind is numb,
A sleepless night has left its mark, I've become.
