Nature's Play

Little children, never give,

Pain to things that feel and live......

Let the gentle robin come,

For the crumble that you save at home.......

As he meets you throw along,

He will repay you with a song......

Never hurt the timid hare,

Peeping from her green grass lair.......

Let her come and play,

On the lawn on the close of day.......

The little goose soaring high,

To the bright windows of the sky......

Flutter-flutter goes her wings,

Singing as if 'there is always Spring........

Oh! Let her sing her happy song,
