Oath Of Service

India is the colourful beautiful country

Where millions of monuments are found

Every person's place of worship

Is found near, safe and sound.

Temple, mosque, gurudwara, church

All were made by the ruler's search

For ways to express their God

Spreading knowledge wide and broad.

The eternal shine of this great land

Got covered in the darkest clouds

When we got attacked and cursed

By the dark world's ruthless wounds.

We were beaten to the ashes 

Yet we rose, like a phoenix

Against the odds of the hardest kind

Breaking out of all the jinx.

With the stories in our hearts

Of the martyrs of the past

And remember all the martyrs

Who became our history's part?

Today we take the oath of service

To this land, we call mother

Won't you come and join us all
