"Tell Me & I Forget. Teach Me & I Remember. Involve Me & I Learn."

A brother and sister went to their grandfather's estate,

As their parents vacationed away,

Unknown to them this was but fate,

For that of adventure had marked their way.

A world of magic they came upon,

As the world of fairies, satyrs, and centaurs they explore,

Many difficulties they then took on,

When everyone's safety they could no longer ignore.

The young boy's curiosity had played a role often,

In the misfortune that would ensue,

Many times he took things upon himself in the end,

As he felt that in the end, he had to see things through.

While his choices had paid off,

It never seemed to change their view,

It never seemed to be enough,

As his past mistake were all they knew.

Over time every detail he would lay out,

As the stakes had appeared too big,

He'd often stressed that there was no room for doubt,

Yet his past it seemed he could not rid.

As time went on and the boy matured,

He took no action without reason,

While some of this others observed,

Those in his family could not be eased in.

The point I'm making today,

Is that you can't ignore reality,

It doesn't matter what mistakes marked their way,

For if a chance is what they see

If they long to improve,

Yet are denied because of their past,

You shouldn't be surprised when they make a move,

Despite the fact that they had not asked.

Anyone of us can fall down,

And yes that can have a ripple effect,

But the way you respond dictates how results will be bound,

Eventually, there will be consequences the more you reject.

It's fine to tell someone something,

But with time they will forget,

The idea to teach and involve you must cling,

For to disregard them is an act that you will regret
