Smile From Within
Smile From Within
Once, there was a small girl,
Jolly, ambitious and sly,
She had sworn to herself,
That she would never yell or cry.
Several days passed,
But to her promise, she remained true,
She put on a fake smile,
If she felt blue.
Her eyes started to lose their spark,
As she began to grow,
When finally it vanished,
Her eyes were as cold as snow.
Students bullied her,
She got bad grades,
But she kept her smile alive,
She didn't let it fade.
People thought she was happy,
Little did they know that she was faking it all,
But she was determined to keep her promise,
Even though she felt the need to bawl.
One day, she lost it,
She couldn't hold for long,
She cried and yelled,
Singing a sad song.
Then she felt fresh,
Not at all grim,
And this time,
She smiled from within.
