Strength of a Woman

Stretch marks are her beauty;

Rough palms and burnt scars she doesn’t care.

Fostering each one in the family;

She ignores herself, I swear.

 

If her nails are done and her makeup is on,

Be mindful, tapping the keyboard her fingers are strong.

Mastering the art of conquering challenges alone;

Learning to nurture her family & home.

 

Her success isn't appreciated at all times;

But it doesn't matter, she learns to ignore critiques.

Striving to maintain a work-life balance;

Attempting to tune with everyone's dance.

 

She is capable of ruling the nation;

And achieving success equal to men.

Yet chooses to submit in relationships that matter;

Binding herself as the family's anchor.

 

Possesses the strength to strike fiercely;

But may choose to retreat gracefully.

Has the ability to avenge and ravage;

But may choose to give a smile with courage.

 

Never underestimate the strength of a woman,

For even God instructs us to respect her.

Treat her right, and you will be honored;

Mistreat her and you'll still be honored, minus respect from her heart.
