Tag You're it

Tag You're it

2 mins

Tag you're it, we ran through the halls,

Our laughter echoing off the walls,

But the queen was watching, plotting her falls,

And her vengeful intentions, her heart appalls.

She followed me, with malice in her eyes,

Determined to take revenge, no matter the lies,

She grabbed my hair, and pushed me down,

And with a cruel grin, she took the crown.

"Tag you're it," were the words she spoke,

But it wasn't a game, it was a deadly stroke,

She took the words out of my mouth,

And stabbed me over and over, like a lion's mouth.

Thirty-six times, the knife was plunged,

My body twitching, my life now expunged,

The queen's revenge was now complete,

And she laughed as she saw me lying in defeat.

But the queen didn't act alone,

For she had a servant, who was in her zone,

Together, they made sure I was dead,

And then she screamed, "the princess is murdered!" she said.

The guards came running, at her call,

And saw me lying on the floor, blood and all,

The queen pointed at her servant, who held the knife,

And blamed him for taking my life.

"The Princess is murdered by a betrayer, guards!"

She cried out, and played her cards,

Her smirk was hidden, but her victory was clear,

For her revenge was sweet, and her conscience was clear.

But her revenge wasn't complete, for I would return,

To take revenge on the queen, and make her burn,

For the pain and suffering, she did extend,

This was just the beginning of the story, my friend.

My real mother was a warrior, brave and true,

But she was killed by the queen's mother, in a moment that was blue,

And now the queen had taken her revenge, that was deprave,

But she didn't know what was coming, for I was determined to have.

Even after death, I would make her pay,

For the cruelty and the horror, she did display,

I would haunt her dreams, and make her regret,

The day she took revenge, and left me in a blood-sweat.

So, beware, queen, for my revenge is near,

And the price you'll pay, will be steep, I fear,

For I am the princess, and I will not rest,

Until your wickedness is put to the test.
