The Bullfight – A Man and an Animal
The Bullfight – A Man and an Animal
The Bull
Here comes a man with a red rag
Waving it like a flag
Does he want to play with me
Or wants to test himself against me.
The man
The animal is strong and majestic
The end it will meet is pathetic
For I intend to go for kill
The crowd shall soon find out that I have a strong will.
The Bull
He does not come in goodwill
I should kill him or he will
Let him be the first to attack
Then with my horns I shall throw him back.
The Man
The bull doesn’t know but I know
That it is not a fair fight but a show
If I win fair and square, the bull goes down
Even if he overpowers me in his own blood shall he drown.
The Bull
The fight has begun, man holds my horns
It is not long before his family mourns
His hands are weak, so is his grip
He shall go to hell on a trip,
The Man
Just escaped with my body intact
The bull was stronger for a fact
I was rescued in the nick of time
But the bull had to die for no crime.
The Crow – A Neutral Observer
I watched the fight from the top
When the bull was made to stop
The man escaped as the fight was fixed
Even before fight began, bull’s fate was nixed.
For long man has played a game
Killing animals for name
The fight has never been fair
It is not like forest where prey and preyed have a common fate to share.
For the man it is fun
To kill and run
But animals commit a crime when they kill human beings
They are not victors even when they win.
