The Colour of Hope
The Colour of Hope
I look out of my window,
Awaiting the dawn,
Your bright rays,
Sparkling on the curtains,
Shining on my pillow,
So lovely, a beautiful sight,
All over, I feel your light.
There's a special one in my garden,
Whom only you can wake up.
She goes back to sleep,
While you go back in the dusk.
I see your magic,
Leaving me mesmerized.
The aging leaves,
Giving the hint of spring.
That's when I hear the birdies
They begin to merrily sing.
As the monsoon begins,
Spreading the fragrance of this fruit,
This woodwind instrument,
Reminding me of my roots.
And here I come to see you again,
Ending up on a sandy shore,
In a cozy little hut,
To pass by the summer.
That's when you're at your fullest.
