The Five Senses

That was a day, a special day, 

When my lower body became numb, 

People wearing white coats surrounded me 

And I tried to listen to them keenly

The smell of the medicines penetrated my nostrils 

I was not given anything to taste...

But a few minutes later...

My soul took a rebirth, still keeping me alive. 

For the first time, I saw my tiny little angel 

Her first cry was loud and non-stop. 

She lay on me, I felt her warmth, she felt mine. 

I smelled her forehead and gently kissed 

She smelled unique, so natural and divine. 

She tasted my milk and slept in my arms. 

Slowly I realised that it was not a dream, 

But these are the magical moments 

Of blooming into a mom, a transition 

In which THE FIVE SENSES together 

Have etched these moments

In my heart forever!
