The Interview

Once I was conducting an interview

Peon said ''waiting room is full of men''

I said I had only two hours

I will interview only ten.

First came the candidate number one

I asked him about the experience, he said ''none

He told me'' I am a minister's son''

I said' 'get out of here, have fun''.

Now it's the turn of number two

I asked him questions, he answered a few

I asked about Vivekanand, he said'' who''

I told the poem to send candidate new.

There came the candidate number three

Asked me about holidays, I said don't worry

You will get Saturday Sunday free

In the interval, you can rest under a tree.

It's now the turn of candidate number four

I told him ''your duty is in the store''

Alone full day you may get bore

When I told the salary, he expected much more.

A smart candidate, that was number six

Gravel and cement you have to mix

To make a wall of all those bricks

When I told him this, he was in a fix.

In very formal dress came number seven

He was looking smarter than the last one

I told him duty is from twelve to eleven

Stunned he said don't tell me for sake of heaven''

In a hurry came number eight

He told me for long he had to wait

Said'' I am sorry, I am getting late

With my girlfriend, I have a date''.

Second, last came candidate number nine

He looked dizzy, I asked ''are you fine''

Have you taken any beer or wine

I can't hire you, here the choice is mine.

So the last one here comes number ten

When he got seated, I asked him then

What is the year of discovery of pen

He said angrily'' I don't know when''.

No one was interested, everyone said no

This was the time for me to go

After the interview, I rushed to drive
