The Lion and the Man
The Lion and the Man
Lie in the grounds of masquerade,
Under the clouds of camouflage,
The brave ones, hidden behind his veil,
The greatest beasts of them all.
The lion wouldn’t sit and waste his time,
But would never go on without a plan.
With his accomplices in his crime,
He thinks out much better than man.
His intentions aren’t as evil though,
He does it out of need.
Unlike the beast hidden in us,
Who does it only because of greed.
His new pray is his new achievement-
It means he is getting stronger.
And mans new victim again,
Adds to his list of horrors.
Man hunts,
Man haunts,
Man hurts,
Man taunts.
The lion in comparison,
Is only a pure soul.
Who runs for his family,
But doesn’t run out of control.
He might be the king,
But the king who cares
About his kingdom,
And not about his despair.
That’s the difference
Between the two great powers-
One fights for freedom,
One fights for no reason.
