Gone are the lives, 

Of the dependent housewives. 

Lost is their attitude,

Missing her family,

Attention is all she yearns for, 

Hatred, the ones she earns are. 

Love was all about making, 

Now it’s all about speaking. 

 

For tight hugs, 

She doesn’t want teddy bears. 

When helpless, 

All that she has got are her tears. 

 

No more, 

She follows her beauty regime. 

Personal care, 

It is only during bath time. 

 

Moving to a new nation, 

She thought is freedom. 

But her only companion, 

It is her boredom. 

Unclosed quarrel, 

As a result of no attraction. 

Love deprival, 

Drove her to distraction. 

 

What she wants, 

From him is an occasional seduction. 

The deep slumber, Alas! 

Is her great addiction.
