THE OTHER WAY ROUND: WITHOUT SOUND

Imagine, if one day,

Such a time will come,

When sound won't exist in this world,

Then what will it become?!

 

The sweet chirping of the birds,

We won't be able to hear,

Or listen to the great plays,

Composed by Shakespeare.

 

The ear would lose its importance,

An impending silence would follow,

The earth would lose a great part of its beauty,

Within ourselves, we would feel hollow.

 

The troubled, deprived and neglected ones,

Wouldn't be able to raise their voices and procure their right,

Then the cruel would cause more destruction,

Would kill in silence and display their might.

 

Will the world then receive,

What it yearns for today?

Escape from the noise pollution,

For the harm caused to nature, would it pay?

 

Would there be a time like this?

Would the world exist without sound?

Would we be able to live like this?

Just give it a thought, think of

How the world would be the other way round,

Without sound.
