The Petals

Shedding pastel autumn,

Envelope the lace sleeves, 

Half wet sleeping unawake ,

A gorgeous soul not drowning,

Floating still in the pool of petals ,

Glistening like stones of underwater,

Crowds of people gather by,

But no one spoke and remain shy .

Soft shades of auburn sunset blend and drop,

And sink onto the maples that graced the body under the sky,

A poet's walk at the evening dawn,

Obstructed by the silent gazers,

Astonished by this sight,

He peeps in, 

Crushing of maples disturbs their constant view for sometimes,

Though their mind is circling around the lady on petals water,

Thoughts of a poetic mind release it's essence amidst the tangerine petals,

His feather quill jot down on the shattered maples and petals,

Pastern pattern of discarded petals sing songs of glory to the floating soul.
