THE QUIET LAKE
THE QUIET LAKE
A quiet lake, so still and deep,
Reflects the sky, like a perfect keep,
A mirror image, so pristine,
Reflects the world, serene and clean.
A ripple breaks, upon the shore,
Sending waves, to explore,
The quiet lake, disturbed at last,
But soon returns, to its quiet cast.
A bird flies by, across the sky,
Its shadow moves, so swiftly by,
It skims the lake, a graceful glide,
Then settles down, upon the tide.
It dips its beak, into the lake,
To drink the water, without a break,
The quiet lake, now calm again,
Reflects the sky, without a stain.
The quiet lake, so calm and still,
A refuge, from life's daily drill,
A place to rest, a place to heal,
A place to find, what's truly real.
The quiet lake, a timeless place,
Where peace and calm, can find a space,
A place to find, what's truly true,
A place of peace, just for you.
