The Road We Travel

I picked myself up this warm sunny morning and journeyed beyond,

I have seen it all, heard it all, done it all,

yet so many questions still linger in my mind, 

Just yesterday, I was an egg, larvae, a pupa and ultimately, an adult,

I have travelled far and beyond, seeking answers everywhere, yet I have met opaque, solid, and invisible walls,

Every day, I sit on my yoga mat and meditate about the true explanation of life, and why we are here, these questions persist in everyone's mind,

Today, I finally realised the mysteries of life lie within us, we are the helix, and the code that opens a journey beyond the universe, 

When we have lived our lives here, we must give back to nature, and be assimilated into its ecosystem, 

our lives are invisibly intertwined with the four elements of the universe, that's water, fire, air and earth,

An imbalance of the elements results in catastrophes,

When we leave the surly bonds of earth, we travel beyond the heavenly divide with our souls,

Yet our bodies are interred here on earth to begin a new cycle of life, a replenishment that must be fulfilled to mother earth. It's a road we travel.
