The Slavery

The Slavery

There lies a king-size bed,

Adorned with sheets and cushions of a luxurious brand.

The grand tent is made of royal muslin.

The court is held under the colonialist kings.

A huge audience indeed lies in the court.

In the hope of prudent justice being met for sure.

Oppressed expecting redressal from the oppressor.

Not at all ironic, as it's possible under the power of weapons.

Nature is robbed to make the wooden bed.

The sheets are plundered from the funeral of the dead.

The cushions are snatched from the preceding monarchy.

The tent provides comfort covered with treacherous hierarchy.

The court is only a facade to hide the cruelty.

Rather it is a recreational grandeur of the nobility.

Audiences are packed to serve the rulers.

To act as toys and pets in the hands of brutality.

Oh! such fun it is for the imperialists.

They laugh by bending the oppressed to their knees.

Filled with a sense of power and superiority.

They get thrilled whitewashing coloured faces of humanity.

Overpowering the culture by subsiding the mother language.

Disglorifying traditions in the name of modern signage.

Anglicising the science, culture and humanity.

They rule the world, patronizing evil and greed.

Oh! people, please rise and revolt.

Take back your things with fight and vigour.

You are the man of your will and freedom.

Be a master and not a subsidiary institution.
