The Warmest Hug of the Year
The Warmest Hug of the Year
Sometimes, I have to take a pause and
Walk down the alleys from where everything started.
It's becomes necessary,
Just like other days.
I talk sane because my insanity is locked inside the four walls,
Away from me.
You bloomed and I rejoiced having your smell all over me,
I still carry that smell in my shirts
In my dreams, in my letters to you.
The longer I stay disconnected, the more it becomes paramount to return
To the void in between your arms,
To the grip of your lips,
To the web of your hair
To the eternal sunshine of your soul!
The last time we met,
A brief one,
We giggled a bit extravagantly
I remember.
I blushed and you kissed,
And it was balanced on that entire evening,
We didn’t tire, We didn’t stop.
And now
Time is kind to me,
It lets me think about you 24/Seven.
When this caged life gets over, I 'll be a bit frail,
Could you please hug me then
And put out the fire?
