Tragedy Others

They Cannot Feel His Pain

They Cannot Feel His Pain

My precious dear son, they cannot feel his pain

I doubt that any one of them knows he feels ashamed

His life is filled with heartbreak, to numb to cry his tears

Lost are his emotions from those bad horrific years

I'd like for everyone of you to stand inside his shoes

It wasn't my son's fault

He did not get to choose

How dare you all be angry with this kind and loving man

He does the best that he knows how at all the things he can

A witness to a tragedy I wish he'd never seen

It happened in his early years when he was just a teen

His life is far from easy

He's suffered a great loss

How long must he bear the load What will be the cost?

Ripped out from beneath him at a fragile tender age

That filled him with much sadness

Fueled him with such rage

Just a few years ago his mom had passed away

She loved him more than life itself

He loved her the same way

So much pain and sorrow my son must now endure

He's taken all that he can take, he cannot take much more

You started him at something that worked out good for you

It didn't hold his interest, it's sad but it is true

Those things won't make him happy

They won't

Not even close

To be happy is the thing in life that truly means the most

Handsome

Inquisitive

Talented and smart

Kind is his nature with a very loving heart

Born into a family of fortune and fame

Related to a superstar, won't mention him by name

He's a part of their family yet they keep him far away

Alone on the holidays as long as he's at bay

I doubt there's any one of them that knows he feels ashamed

My precious dear son, they just cannot feel his pain
