Life is such a fleeting thing

We live and then we die

A simple fact you can't deny, it's rather cut and dry

We only get so many years to live on this earth

Born alive into this world right from our human birth 

The purpose of our very lives is simply just to live

Life can be a give-and-take

Take but also give

Cherish every moment it all goes by so fast

This sacred gift bestowed on us was never meant to last

Be grateful for the things you have, the food that's on your table

Feed those who are in need whenever you are able

Appreciate the little things they mean so very much

Cherish your friends and family, and always stay in touch

Don't fill your head with things you dread, let darkness change to light

Come the day you're dead, it can happen overnight
