Days just run away,

Time isn’t lazy,

Its been so long,

that I yearn to see you.

I haven’t received a text,

never heard your voice again,

No idea about how you look.

and no count of photos we took.

Yearning for you to call me a good cook.

I doubt if you have changed,

I doubt if you remember me

and the times when we say,

“You and Me make a wonderful We”.

Slowly forgetting what were your favorites,

forgetting our talks on anything and everything,

forgetting your choices.

Forgetting why we laughed till our stomachs ached,

Now thinking of those moments makes my heart ache,

Maybe this is the reason for you to stay in my memory.

We were once good friends, that’s why

I know that I haven’t lost you

but now, I am lost in you.

whenever my phone beeps,

I feel my heartbeat,

I badly hope it's you

Knowing its not you,

all I do is adorn a smile,

but the heart weeps.
