The Strange Place In My Head
The Strange Place In My Head
There was this strange place
Somewhere in my head
A house
That looked like home
It was made of stones
Stones that gleamed
The dazzle so brightAlmost blinding
But when you did manage to have a look,Not without taking some sparkle
Back to reality with you
There were a few cracks in the walls
And a strange powder
Falling through them
But when you got close enough to see
It was glitter
There was this strange place
Somewhere in my head
A house that felt like home
It looked like a dream
I knew I had the key
But there was no sign of courage
And yet I guarded the key with my life
Then one day
I decided it was time
Or I liked to believe it was my decision
But it was inevitable
I went to this strange place
In my head
And I brought out my key almost like it was a reflex action
As if I had done it a million times before
Actually, I had.
When I looked in through the door
There you were
Waiting for me
With a smirk on your face
I hated you for it but you knew
I couldn't hate you enough
To not come back
To this strange place in my head
To not come back
To you and relive 'us'
Again
And again
And again
