Unchanged

Weather has changed

I haven't changed one bit

The time has flown but I stood still.

The rivers have swept away,

The barren lands have birthed sprouts,

Yet I stay unwavering, I stay the same.

The world has evolved but I never leveled.

I'm one from the past, the one in the future, the one in the present, the same.

I want to change but I cannot

Forever stuck in this place.

I want to escape but I cannot

Fate has been kind and cruel at the same time.

I remain unchanged.

The world does not welcome one who does not grow

This contentment has become my confinement.

The seedlings next to me have grown and flourished, still I am here below the ground.

If only there was a way to change.
