Until I Met You
Until I Met You
Last time I fell for you,
It was many moons ago and I couldn’t stop myself thinking about you,
Or watching you from the aisle.
That was when it started and continued for….
Anyway, let's not talk about that.
It was very intense,
I could feel my cheek sweating and heart beating faster,
No matter how much I kept denying its existence,
The existence of love- the earthly emotions in me,
This vague body,
This absolute nothing,
I shouldn’t have fallen for a mortal one.
After I died in the train crash,
My wife couldn’t come to identify my mangled carcass,
So much grief-stricken that little soul.
I used to call her, “ Pimpli”
I used to adore her no matter how much pimples were there on her cheek or how much ‘imli’ she would like.
After a month or two, I found my Pimpli on the same train,
I was so happy cause she was happy.
There was not one but two baggages,
Her forehead was red with sidur,
She was now a newly married bride,
On her way to honeymoon,
First.
And here I am,
Wandering on this train for ages
Like a mouthful of air,
From one compartment to another
Solving the equation between me and Pimpli.
She left me but I couldn’t leave her,
Until I met you!
