Voice From The Caged
Voice From The Caged
Over a decade
I sat in the corner of a cage
Drenched in fears and sorrow;
You slaughtered my dreams for tomorrow.
Over a decade
I've been walking with trembling legs;
Fighting memories of the day you tore my pride,
How you mercilessly cracked my legs open and stole my pride.
You stubbed my spirit
You silenced my voice,
I cried stop! Stop! Please!
Yet your ears of humanity were closed.
Over a decade
My tears streamed down my cheeks;
Helplessly drenched in your cage,
Afraid you'd end what's left of me should i chose to speak.
But the decade is gone
Am now a newly born;
My inner voice is ready to speak!
I am ready to fight injustice!
The decade of rape,
Sexual abuse
Defilement or child marriages is gone!
It's time to raise, it's time for justice.
