We Men Affirm

We men are one of a kind,

All our lives go we through the grind.

Looking after parents and family with love and care,

Balancing all with a professional life is a nightmare.

It’s difficult for strangers to understand my plight,

I too need my ‘me' time to stay happy and bright.

With all the commitments, time for family is difficult to schedule,

Slogging whole day has made my life like a mule.

Love and comfort from my strongest pillar is my cushion,

Overlooking her ownself, to see me smile, is her only mission.

Women go through discomfort for nine months long,

Can men bear it, however they are strong? 

Women can empathise and are so loving and caring, needing no breaks,

Placing us men over their hobbies and their career streaks.

Always under stress, patience is her virtue,

With her untiring spirit, takes on more than she can chew.

Guides children & supports spouse like a rock,

Priding in their success, keeping her ambitions under a lock.

This Pandemic has only strengthened my belief,

That SHE is unmatchable, today tomorrow and a source of relief!

We men acknowledge and salute,

To all the women, this is my tribute.
