What's Your Calling?

Absorbed is she in observing nature,

Realised she what she craves more!

I am going to make my career out of sightseeing,

Declared she, worried her parents, delighted the others.

Ignored she of others and continued to be her!

While observing, she could not help

But a strange sensation entered her heart.

Took she a pencil and started sketching on her notebook!

The beauty of the nature captured her mind,

Which in turn got captured on the paper!

Able has she become on seeing details,

Captured the movements and moments in details!

Saw she the beauty in everything,

Ranging from nature to man-made!

Became she an artist like no other,

Shutting the mouths trying to dismay her.

Ignored she of others and continued to be her!

Contemplating on her sketch, she could not help

But talk the beauty of what she'd captured!

Talked she in a way that rhymed all the way.

Unable to stop, she started writing on her note.

The words didn’t stop like a heavy downpour,

Wrote she at a stretch until the dusk!

Exhilaration fell upon her, she continued to write day in and out.

Before long has she become a writer on song!

Her writings pierced the hearts of masses,

Gloomy was what the thoughts of her acquaintances!

Ignored she of others and continued to be her!

Writing on the colours, was she absorbed to the colours!

Capturing the colour as is, became her new direction.

Obsessed with this thought, she started to paint,

Paint everything the way she saw!

Before long had she become expert in painting,

Capturing everything the way it is,

Bettering it the way it could never be!

Criticized people on her new direction,

Left they speechless as always.

Ignored she of others and continued to be her!

Looking at her work so far,

A new sensation dawned on her heart.

Making of things, it is this time.

Did she bail out? Nay, never.

Dived headfirst into this new venture.

Kept she contemplating the issues,

Saw the details like no others!

Thanks to her observing skills.

Invented she a machine that worked on solar!

Invented she a device that harnessed the cosmic power!

What, screamed the critics in disbelief.

She kept on doing what she liked,

And kept on mastering in everything she ventured!
