Pico Iyer; but, somehow, I didn’t care.

So ashamed, so sad;

I wish I could go back

And make up for my bad!

But still there’s hope,

still there’s Autumn Light, 

and Sun After Dark.

I can still meet the Lady and the Monk.

And know so much more

In Some Lonely Places.

I can still find happiness 

Among a rubble 

Of grief; only if I travel with you 

along the Open Road!
