Winter Evening
Winter Evening
It’s quite chilly without a doubt
I don’t know why I am out
Winters have arrived, foggy and draft
And brought with them,
Plenty of jackets, mufflers and caps
You need them when you venture in the frost
So that, shivering you do not get lost
But apart from the cold
You must admit being bold,
That a winter evening is a spectacle to behold,
The slopes are adorned with screes
And the white snow covers the trees
Filling the children’s faces with glee
They play and run and sing with fun
Whilst having the joys of feeling the winter sun
For just before it dips behind the horizon
It sets the sky into a blazing hue
Of orange, white and blue,
Thus, paralyzing the immense beauty of nature
Into one pretty picture,
You can take a click if you want
But take care, to press the button,
Just before the winter’s sun has gone!
