Without You

Last night I was blinded by intense light,

I couldn't see nothing I was trying to fight,

I knew something was amiss I tried to make it right.

But then you appeared in front of me,

It was then that I could see,

I came ahead to hug you tight,

I closed my eyes n felt alright,

When I opened them you were outta sight..

Right then I found me hugging myself...

It scared me at once,

Which made me come out of the trance.

I caught myself right then screaming,

That's when I realized I was dreaming.

My eyes were still shut from the fright,

I had no one to calm me in the night,

Why did you have to leave me all alone?

The worst part was I couldn't get you on the phone.

My heartbeat rose from zero to ten,

I could feel it in my heart the striking pain,

I tried to calm myself but all in vain,

I silently knelt before god telling him for it to never happen again.

That's when you called..

I felt so much better after hearing your voice,

It drowned all the nightmarish noise.

But then again you weren't there,

It made me cry, it made me swear!

But you assured me you would be beside me soon,

That's when I fell asleep while staring at the moon,

I got up next morning afresh,

But then again I found myself crying in the afternoon.
