A Cautionary Rhyme: COVID-19

It's strenuous to reside in this world,

It appears that our sole purpose is to be 

dragged and swirled. 

Endless labour is all we do,

To earn a living in these economy blues. 

While our economy tumbles, crumbles and falls, 

We continue to exert and toil between these four walls. 

Eat-sleep-work-repeat is our current motto, 

As we try to capture a perfect instagram worthy photo. 

We desire to get back to the usual, 

However that's just us being delusional.

Covid-19 has us quarantined,

It's for the best, for all mankind.

So, lets adhere to the rules,

Learn something new and make it our power tool,

Rather than running around unmasked like fools.

Let's not think of this as a gimmick, 

As it is indeed a Pandemic, 

While we diligently go about our daily routine,

And sit and anticipate for a vaccine.

This right here is a cautionary rhyme, 

We must support each other in this climb.
