For babies just out of cradles,

Kindergarten rules! 

Anxious mother's 

Radars,

Fine-tuned to the graders,

Wipe poignant tears

From sniffly cheeks,

Letting go 

Of babyhood 

Is hard for motherhood! 

Watching her run

And play,

Her smiles on display, innocence shinning 

Through naughty eyes.

Mommy knows best,

At her behest,

The trust lies heaviest 

On mothers crest! 

Oh I Wish that I could 

Protect you from 

Sorrow and pain,

Loss and gain,

But that's what will make you human again! 

Your journey to 

Yourself is yours alone,

We are the props,

That you need along the way,

When the time is right,

It falls away,

But the love and care 

Never goes away.

We give you wings to fly,

To live your life as it was meant to be.

And when you miss the old folks,

The porch light 

Will always be on for you,

To come home to.
