A Bizarre Love

Zohra was a very clever and beautiful girl. She was considered bizarre since her very young age just because she liked playing with trucks and guns, she liked playing outdoor games rather than dolls. She even liked basketball so much that she used to go out to play that game with boys. But, since she belonged to a conservative family, she was locked up and was sent to a girl's College for her high school after her basic madrasa education.

No one really liked her due to her so-called, 'bizarre nature'. But she soon made friends with her beautiful personality. She met Mahira, a shy, beautiful and studios girl. They were best friends. They used to spend most of their time together talking about further life's plan, studies, hobbies and their 'bizzare love'. Well, this was enough to make rest of the world jealous and fill them with agony.

Once one of her classmates saw them holding hands and kissing together and for sure, their love life was no more concised, it became a hot topic for everyone who enjoyed tasting other's food. Mahira was called back by her family, Zohra was dismissed from school. Although Mahira did promise her that, "someday, somewhere in the world they'll meet and reconcile once again". Both of them moved to different states with the scar and broken heart in their empty body.

Days, months, years passed by.

It's chilly afternoon, speakers, loud noises of slogans saying, "we are no different, stop discriminating!". A group is also lead by Zohra. She suddenly saw someone on the street side and stood their frozen. She approached her, "Mahira", Zohra said with a cracking voice.

"Yes!" Mahira replied as if she didn't recognize her. All of a sudden she becomes so elated and hugs Zohra greeting her and says, "what are you doing here, and what about your career?" Zohra was so overwhelmed seeing Mahira that she couldn't even speak. Without waiting for Zohra's reply she happily said, "meet my husband, Farooque, we got here to celebrate our 3rd anniversary".

Life is so complicated, it turns the table sometimes in such a way that it leaves a deep scar that keeps on haunting our soul again and again. Zohra stood there frozen with her tear-filled eyes, reminiscing, "someday, somewhere....".
