I was playing in the garden with my dog. Suddenly a bird came and sat on my head. A few seconds later, the bird flapped its wings and flew high up in the sky. Seeing the bird, I also stretched my hands on either side and started flapping them. Surprisingly, I observed that I was rising above the ground. This was exciting. I wanted to fly and now I can. I flapped my wings and rose up to the height of my house. My dog was watching me with confusing eyes and was barking too. I was enjoying my flight so much that I didn’t pay attention to my mother, who came out running from the kitchen seeing me flying. She was screaming and calling me but I didn’t care.

I went up high and stopped at a point from where I could watch the whole town. From that height, my father’s office was also visible. I saw my school which was bustling with a crowd of examinees. Everything looked so tiny from above. It wasn’t possible to recognize people by their faces. Only the houses were recognizable. My dog was jumping around and still barking.

I saw a goose flying above me. I moved up to follow that goose behind. Following it, I saw a lake where many families were enjoying picnics. Small kids were running here and there and everyone was visible as tiny spots on green grass. In the middle of the lake, there was a small island, where a population of cranes was sitting. I spotted a hot air balloon at a distance. I flew towards it and by it. The passengers in it were watching me with shocked eyes. I was just smiling at them and watching their amused faces.

I went up higher to pass through the clouds. I wanted to feel them and touch them. They were so fluffy that when I touched them, the gas came out of my hands. I was soaring through them when I heard my mom’s screaming in the background. She was shouting, “Wake up or else you will get late for school.” She jolted me I was awakened. That’s when I realized that whatever I saw was only a dream and I thought that I have learned to fly. It was such a nice dream. Why do moms always have to wake their children when they are having exciting dreams?
