A Journey Called Life

Life is a journey full of ups and downs and new twists and turns at every corner. One doesn't know what awaits one in the next phase of the journey of life. One must move on and learn to make the best of every situation. Rohit remembers the fateful day when he, with his family, was returning to Delhi after attending a relative's wedding in Amritsar. Their car had a head-on collision with a fully loaded truck on the highway near Ludhiana because the truck driver was going too fast and had crossed over the divider to the other side. The accident took away the life of all the passengers except Rohit who was slightly injured as he was sitting on the far side in the car.

Rohit was completely shattered when he lost his parents. Hardly a day past when he did not think how his life would have been if his family had not gone to attend the wedding at all. His grandfather tried to help in is bereavement by diverting his mind into other matters.

One day something happened that made him regain his faith in life. Rohit's grandfather him to meet orphans in an orphanage. Rohit interacted with the orphans and saw how they were leading their life even though they have nobody to call their own.

Rohit started going to the orphanage daily and learn to enjoy life again as he understood that keeping baggage from the past will leave no room to happiness, so it's better to light a lamp for someone else which will also light up your path. On his parents' death anniversary, he took a pledge to serve mankind and become a student volunteer at the orphanage.
