Day of Self-Realization

This is a story of cute little Shiva. He was living with his parents and two brothers in Jaipur, “Pink city of India’’ He was impressed with the ambiance and royalty of palaces of the city but was having an interest only in playing.

Shiva was unable to clear his grade 4 final exams now he was repeating his grade 4. All his friends were in grade 5 but he is still sitting in grade 4 as he was repeating his class even then also he was not showing any interest in studies but his mother was so worried and was an overprotective lady. When he failed in his class His mother went to school and requested a class teacher that “ PLEASE LET MY SON SIT WITH INTELLIGENT STUDENT SO THAT HE CAN CLEAR THE CLASS THIS TIME” class teacher agreed.

The next day when Shiva reached his class His teacher instructed him to sit in between two intelligent girls of the class. As Shiva was an innocent boy he did not realize that other boys will make fun of him. Now, he is happy because the girls were giving him much importance and taking care of him but even now also he was not focused towards his studies. He was in his own world and Imagined that “I AM KING”.la la …..

The Day had arrived when Half-yearly marks were announced. This time also he was unable to clear the exams but after received the marks in front of the girls who were sitting with him. He felt very bad and decided to leave school and his home.

The last bell of school ranged Shiva took his bag so many thoughts were coming in his mind “ Why I am not studying ?” Now everybody will laugh at me! I am a stupid boy. He was getting angry with himself. My mother and father will feel so bad and again I get insulted in front of my brothers too. These thoughts were making Shiva depressed and feeling of loneliness. At last, he took the decision “ he ran away and reached the “ UMAID MAHAL” As he was impressed with the royal culture he thought that he will not trouble anyone and stay in near UMAID MAHAL and go for SHIKAR, stay alone and take care of himself.

Now, Shiva was alone he spent two to three hours there, on the other hand, everybody was searching him His parents were so worried and his mother was unable to bear the pain of separation. So many people gather his home. As the sun was setting and the sky was almost covered with his black shawl of darkness. Shiva felt so scared and wanted to go to his parents. He took his bag This show “ HOW INNOCENT AND CUTE HE WAS” he entered his house from the back door. He saw a scene of worries in the home. He got scared and hide under the cot. Now there was a very interesting scene in the home both his younger brothers were playing different types of a game called “footwear footwear “In Punjabi, it is called juti- juti. One has to throw footwear in such a way so that one's footwear should cover a longer distance”.

Now Shiva was under the cot. Younger brother threw the footwear, it went under the cot. The brother went to take the footwear as he reached near the cot and bent down to it. He saw Shiva was under the cot. He yelled with surprise. Everybody around the home gathers near the cot. Everybody was happy with Shiva back. His mother hugged Shiva tightly.

That was an auspicious time for Shiva when he realized that running away from the studies is not right. From that day he SELF REALIZED that HOW IMPORTANT STUDIES ARE?

Shiva started giving importance to his studies and things become better for him.
