Detective Ace

It was a beautiful day in Cornerstone town. Ace a 14-year-old boy was merrily walking about the road, his eidetic memory carefully capturing everything that met his gaze. You see, Ace was not an ordinary boy, which you will find out... With this incident. He put a coin to a beggar then stood by his side and said that is a pretty bad undercover operation you are running, said Ace. Excuse me! Replied the beggar-like acting police officer. You are a cop! Then when the lady's ear pod fell the man did not let her take it then look they are sweating that's not because of the weather it's worry

and fear, told Ace. You saw all that? Asked Mark.

 

I didn't see I observed. Now you don't want to lose them. Are you sure? Asked Mark. I am always sure, replied Ace. Then when the police surround them they found the loot. Mark thought wow! That kid is good! Then in a meeting, the chief police said about a case and it was: three children go missing in three consecutive days. All of them have one in common. That note says "find me if you can". Whoever is the kidnapper, he is teasing us. Then one officer said, we have looked everywhere, the CCTV cameras, check posts, passenger logs of trains and flights. We have nothing. Then a man came

and whispered something in the chief police's ears. Then he said bad news officers, the mayor's wife is missing since morning and there is this same note "find me if you can". We should go there immediately. Sir, there is someone who can help us said Mark. Then Mark went and picked up Ace and in car Ace asked where are we going? To the mayor's house. I will tell you about the case on our way. Then Mark explained the case to Ace and When Ace and Mark reached the mayor's house, they found that the police officers were already there.

 

Officer Mark began to ask his questions, while Ace started to deduce the world around him. Then Ace began observing the place then he notices a medicine bottle and asks whose medicines are these? The mayor said it's his wife's. She has type-2 diabetes asked Ace. Then he finds that she experiences

increased urination during the night because of her high-level sugar levels, right? Asked Ace. Yes! Replied the mayor. All the people in the room watching him as he went to the washroom and looked around. Then he turned and walked out of the room. Then Ace took Mark to the car and asked him to go to the police station. He wanted to see the surveillance tapes and notes. As he was seeing

the tapes he thought, all of them have the same paper, same ink. 3 children 1 woman. All go missing in the same way. From their bedroom in the middle of the night. Yet, no cameras captured them or the kidnapper. Then Ace said " I found it, that's it". Then he thanked the officer and asked what is the

age of the mayor's wife. Mark replied 50. Then they again went to the mayor's house. When Ace goes in he goes to the bathroom again. Then in one side of the bathroom wall he hears the sound vibrates. Then he came out and said there is a secret basement there and the children are there and so the mayor's wife. Then he showed the bookshelf and said the door is behind the shelf. Where the mayor is standing right now. The last time when we were here he was at the same spot and

didn't move a bit. Then the shelf is moved and as Ace had said the police found- the secret basement through the shelf. There they found the kids tied up in chairs and the mayor's wife standing there.

 

 The mayor and the mayor's wife were arrested, but all had one question in mind. How did Ace find out? Ace replied look the bookshelf the books all are about motherhood and children. Mrs. Mayor wanted to be a mother, but she never could. She believes that it is her bad luck. Then the surveillance cameras show nothing, except, it clearly shows Mr. Mayor in all locations where the kidnapping took place. Yes, he came out of concern, said the chief police. Then Ace asked who informed mayor about the kidnapping? Did you? And yet he was there right after the police reached. A mayor at a crime location? You see if you check properly, no one sees the mayor come into any of the three houses, but he is seen leaving. How I will tell you. Mr. Mayor has access to all the CCTV cameras. He carefully chooses the houses were there is only one camera facing the front of the house. He sneaks into one of the houses at night through the back, kidnaps the child and hides them along with himself in their car.

 

When the cops arrive in the morning he comes out of the hiding and acts like he came there out of concern and wants to know more about the matter. Later the cops leave. The mayor leaves too. But he returns in an hour alone. He knows that the police officers or anyone checking the CCTV footage will check only the night of the kidnapping. The next day doesn't matter. And if anyone did check he would say he was there to give them moral support. He plays it to his advantage. Here's his final act. While leaving he pretends as his car has stopped working. Then borrows their car and thus gets out of the house taking the children with him right under the nose of their parents. Then how did you know? Asked the mayor to Ace. Then Ace replied I watched the entire surveillance tape. Saw you come back but didn't read much into it. Until Mr. Officer used the word "luck". And it all came together. What next? The kids reunited wth their parents and the mayor and his wife were sentenced to life imprisonment. And for Ace, the police officers made a small party in the honour of him. Then he was named detective Ace and his code was Ace 135. Then he was assigned many tasks and because of him many cases were solved.
