Escaped

There was a girl, she had a beautiful face, phoenix like eyes, that were bright and clear, a delicate nose and a soft rose coloured lips. She was fair but had become a lit bit tanned, she had a heart shaped face structure and long natural hair that were below the shoulders and above the waist. She had a strong figure but was neither petite nor far. But alas, what was the use of this beauty, as she was a victim of domestic abuse.

She was only a teenager, she was the only child in her house and had a single parent, her father. Her father was a drunkard who used to spend everything in gambling. She used to earn money by doing various part time jobs and used to feed herself and her father. Many times her father would come home after drinking and whip her when he lost in gambling. She had to drop out from school because of these reasons

One such night when she was doing the household chores after returning from the part time job, she had recently appiled for, she heard the knob of the door turning. Her heart stopped beating, she became pale as if she had lost all the blood from her body. The scars only made her look more creepy. Her condition was no better than a living dead. As the door opened, she could hear the footstep approaching, the house was once again filled with the stench of alchol.

All she could do was to pray God for her death. Even hell would be better place to live in. As these thoughts were running in her mind she was brought back to reality when her father gave her a bone cracking slap. She fell on the floor. Her earlier scars, which had not healed yet, again started bleeding. Then he gave her a kick. Amidst all this the girl fell unconsious.

She saw in her dreams the beautiful and warm smile of her mother and father which she was longing for. She heard them say, "Dear, let us go, come to us. "She no longer felt the pain, nor hunger. She ran to them and the Disappeared into the dark sky. She had finally escaped from the hell and from the cycle of birth, She was a free soul devoid of any pain.
