STELLAR NEXUS: The Alien Artifact

“An alien artifact has been detected on the surface of Mars''; said the reporter as Arion Walker switched off the TV. Arion Walker has a well-to-do American family in Manhattan and has lived in the United States all his life. Arion Walker has been a keen astronomy student since his childhood, one of his favorite subjects in school included Physics where he could explore the world beyond Earth. While other kids his age were obsessed over the Harry Potter and the Divergent series, he curled up near the fireplace to read astronomy books. As a schoolboy, he was an enthusiast and part of the science and technology club in his school. 

As a young boy, Arion attended numerous space camps and visited every NASA visitor center. There was not a single interview about another astronaut he had not seen. From a young age, he had an interest in alien artifacts and always hoped to find some on his own. He did in-depth research on various alien artifacts. His research was also published in countless books and blogs. Furthermore, with his thorough research on alien artifacts, he was also called as a guest speaker to a NASA learning program, to speak about his research findings. With sheer determination and giving it his blood and sweat, at the young age of 17, Arion got his pilot license. For 2 years he trained as hard as he could, his training included water survival, microgravity flights, obtaining his scuba certification, and decompression training. He excelled at the top of his class in all the various tasks they were assigned. He was so close to his dream of becoming an astronaut. 

Now, at the age of 23, after years of learning and seeing the world outside Earth through someone else’s lens, he is finally chosen to be the one who could explore the planets, the solar system, and the galaxies from a spacecraft. He finally got the chance to see the world outside, the world he longed to go to from a young age, he got the chance to see the world beyond what he has always seen, for the very first time.

This is his very first mission and is one of the most important missions in the study of outer space. Radio signals and images from Mars show a strange rock embedded into the ground. The ground around the rock is melting to reveal the rock. Is it the rock that is causing it? Or is it something else? Scientists on Mars need backup and Arion and a few others have been selected to come to their aid. This might be a mission Arion does not return from, but he can not stop himself from entering the world of possibilities when he leaves Earth to explore a new planet.

Arion and his crew are aboard the spacecraft as the hopes of humanity lie in their hands and what they are about to find. As the spacecraft starts to ascend, Arion can feel his heartbeat in his ears, as his hands clench the armrests of his seat, he is about to enter a new world. As the pressure builds, the spacecraft takes speed to escape the pressure of the atmosphere, Arion suddenly is unable to breathe, he starts to black out, unable to hold the pressure on him. After about 10 minutes or so, he finally regains consciousness, to see the beautiful world around him. As he sees his other crew members, some who didn’t lose consciousness, and others who regained it, their eyes filled with astonishment as their mouths hang open at the sight. They see the moon so close to their spacecraft, as it revolves around Earth. As they approach and reach closer to Mars, at a distance they see Jupiter and its many moons that they learned about during their academic and astronaut journey. 

As Arion and his crew enter the atmosphere of Mars, they are more prepared, the pressure is not as bad and they can stop themselves from blacking out once again. As their spacecraft lands on the surface of Mars, Arion and his crew jump off their seats and make their way to the compartment so they can change into their Mars suits. The atmosphere of Mars is made of 95% carbon dioxide and less than 1% of oxygen along with other gasses. The air on Mars is unbreathable and can be fatal if inhaled. Thus, upon reaching Mars they make their way to the exit of the spacecraft to be welcomed by the astronauts and scientists who were already on Mars. 

Upon embarking the space craft, they are briefed about the rock and its capabilities. They are told that the surface around the rock has been melted away to reveal this object. This rock has been extracted from the surface of Mars and now resides in a small chest at the Mars base. 

First, Arion and his crew are taken to the site of the dig to assess the damage that the rock is thought to have caused on the surface of Mars. They spent the day observing this sight testing for the pH of the ground and soil, and the possible causes of the melting of the ground. Even after thorough research about the area, they were unable to find the root cause of the same. 

Arion and the others are then taken to the Mars base to further start an investigation on this rock. When Walker sees this rock for the first time, he sees it as a normal rock and does not understand its specialty, but after dwelling on it for longer, he sees that the rock can be opened, with the slit that has been made around the rock. At this observation everyone is shocked. They worry about what may be the contents of the rock. From Arion’s research about alien artifacts, there is a rock such as this known as “Stellar Nexus” which is said to be the savior or razer of humanity.  

After hours of intense discussion, weighing the pros and cons of opening this rock, they conclude that there is hope, and it is worth a try to open the rock and see its contents. With shaking hands, a look of concern on their faces, with sweat trickling down their foreheads, the scientists in the group open the box. 

Everyone, including Arion, is surprised by what is within; there is a small amount of liquid, but what is it? Like water, the liquid is clear. This liquid has a smell; it smells like the morning after a rainy day. 

Carefully, with gloves in his hand, Arion pours a little bit of this liquid on the surface of the red planet. At first, there is nothing, then suddenly a hurricane starts developing, and all of them run for cover, as the tornado starts to move in the opposite direction. At first, it does nothing, but soon Arion realizes that the dusty sky they were seeing for so long is clearer, perhaps less polluted. Then they realize, this is a magic potion that creates a hurricane that can suck all the pollution and dust in the atmosphere. Knowing it has the capability of being the savior of humanity on Earth, Arion and his crew start jumping with joy. 

Walker understands that pollution is the primary cause of climate change and global warming, which pose the greatest threat to the planet right now. He also understands that this phenomenon may perhaps be the human race's only hope. We require magic that can save our planet. The greatest discovery of all time might be a liquid that could eliminate all pollution on Earth. Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, human activities have raised the atmospheric quantities of carbon dioxide by about 50%. Even though astronauts are looking for a planet that can support life in the same way that Earth can, none of them can. With the aid of a substance that can absorb pollutants, it is attainable to give Earth a chance to recover and become fit enough to sustain life for a greater period of time. This mixture has the power to save the human race.  

Arion and his team send signals to Earth and a report on their findings as they board the spacecraft to return to Earth. The first mission of Arion was successful. Arion wishes to embark on several missions to other planets, experience numerous experiences, and discover numerous otherworldly artifacts.
