Home Alone

It started late one night with the noise outside. The wind blew as the tree rustled against the window. Two friends with the name Jack and Daniel were having a sleepover at Daniel’s house. What one would call terrifying was the fact that they were alone at his house. Daniel’s parents were out handling a very serious business emergency. The duo had several activities to keep them entertained throughout the cold, stormy night. The storm had been going on for a few days now and Jack had come prepared with enough batteries and rations to Daniel’s house. In the mere silence, they heard a faint knock from the front door.

Daniel gestured Jack to go and peep through the eyehole. However, Jack considering the fact that they were alone, chose to ignore it. Jack sat back down on the bed with a creak coming from below. Before they could proceed with their plans, they heard a feeble voice that sounded like a call for help. The voice was a female who sounded old and weak. 

They jumped on their toes and ran to her assistance. They opened the door only to find a blood-soaked apparition. They slammed the door on its face, out of utter disbelief. Lightning struck in the sky and thunder boomed far, far away but it was still scary to them as they were still recovering from the shock.

The next moment, the apparition came through the door. Second, by the second, it overpowered them using black magic and finally devoured them….
